Brian Jones is a New York based Industrial Designer. Coming from a background in sculptural design, his love for building and designing led him to study Industrial Design at Pratt Institute. Brian creates visual tension through line, shape, & color. Brian integrates bold color & material choices to elevate form, products and spaces. He sources inspiration from Alexander Calder, Andy Goldsworthy & Stewart Davis.

Additionally, Brian is a founder of “The Root” — a NY tree house collective. Composed of a small group of friends from all fields, they share a 17-acre plot of land in upstate New York — primarily for the design and construction of tree houses. The abandoned tree farm was realized as an ideal location for creative & educational projects. The property hosts quarterly initiatives that emphasize the growth of art & community. The natural resources are plentiful but funds are not, making "The Root" a perfect canvas to practice sustainable design on a small budget.
